Course Introduction
Environmental awareness has grown over the past decade with organizations realizing the tangible benefits to be gained from the adoption of environmental management programmes. Indeed, Appropriate waste minimization and energy efficiency initiatives can result in significant cost savings for many organizations.

Benefits
Holders of this qualification may use the designatory letters EnvDipNEBOSH after their name. It is also accepted for Associate Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). Participants may allocate IOSH CPD credits for attendance at this course and progression to MSc level is possible through various UK universities.

Progression
The NEBOSH Diploma provides the perfect basis for you to progress onto an MSc. Several Universities will accept holders of the NEBOSH Diploma onto the final year of their Masters Programmes. The NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management has been designed for those with responsibilities for the management of environmental risk or aiming to develop and implement effective environmental management systems within their organisations.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements to the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma but some knowledge of the English legal system is recommended (such as might be covered in the NEBOSH National General Certificate, National Diploma, etc.).
Course Duration: This specialist diploma course can be completed within 1 year on a part-time basis.

Element 5: Developments in Environmental Legislation
Element 6: Environmental Legislative Framework and Methods of Enforcement
Element 7: Public Access to Environmental Information
Element 8: Civil Liability in Relation to Environmental Pollution
Element 9: Solid and Liquid Wastes
Element 10: Gaseous and Particulate Releases to Atmosphere
Element 11: Water Resources Management
Element 12: Control of Environmental Nuisance
Element 13: Hazardous Substances
Element 14: Environmental Implications of Development and Land Use
Element 15: Energy Use and Efficiency

 

Unit ED2 – Workplace-Based Practical Application

 

COST OF STUDIES
(i) Cost for local students :
The All Inclusive MQA-Approved Cost consisting of Tuition materials, tutorial sessions, NEBOSH registration and exam fees, MES fees, etc for ED1 and ED2 is ­­­­­­­­­­­­­Rs 150,000.00

(ii) Cost for International students for studies in Mauritius
The cost of studies for students coming from abroad (Africa, Europe, Asia, etc) inclusive of tuition materials, tutorial sessions, NEBOSH registration and exam fees, MES fees is £2,500/- (excluding of air ticket, board & lodging, etc.)
